Opera Seabrook received it’s name for the purpose of ‘The Mission’ which represents the reputation of the ‘Seabrook’ name. During World War II, Japanese families who were separated by the circumstances of Pearl Harbor, were brought together again and allowed to earn a living thanks to the “Seabrook Farm”. Robert McFarland, international Dramatic Baritone & Pattricia Stella Patino, international Coloratura Soprano, chose the ‘Seabrook’ name in order to emulate ‘The Mission’ established by the purpose of Opera Seabrook.

The Second Mission of Opera Seabrook is to provide the International Stage for Young American Artists who are without a venue to perform their first major roles. In 1998, Beverly Sills (Chair Lady of Lincoln Center) invited Robert McFarland to discuss the need for such an Internationally Visible Opera Company with the sole purpose of offering the most promising talents of our Nation who are Graduates of Colleges, Universities, Institutes, and Conservatories - the opportunity to perform major roles. At this moment in the United States, no opera companies at the National level are offering such opportunities.
Opera Seabrook’s ‘Mission’ is to guarantee this Platform for our Nation’s most important Young Artists!
Opera Seabrook is under the auspices of The Walt Whitman Arts Center , 101 Cooper Avenue , Camden , NJ 08102 (Non-for-Profit Organization) in association with McFarland Artists Management International (McFAMI)
Many Blessings!
